Another ranking of higher education from a different perspective – a prominent place of the Rákóczi Institute

The college and university rankings of Vstup.Osvita.ua, which ranked public and private higher education institutions based on the number of students enrolled in the last academic year have been published recently, helping young people looking to study make the choice of institution.

Since in the academic year 2019-20, high school graduates have been able to submit seven admission applications for four different educational programs, we can see the popularity of higher education institutions based on the number of enrolled students. The authors of the list considered the number of students enrolled in the first year of BA and BSc programs based on the Unified State Education Database (ЄДЕБО).

The list of public and private colleges and universities includes a total of 401 higher education institutions. This number shows a decrease compared to the last academic year. This is probably due to the merging and closing of some higher education institutions.

The Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute named after Ferenc Rákóczi II is ranked 122nd in the aforementioned list. In the Transcarpathian region the Rákóczi Institute was ranked third: only the Uzhgorod National University and the Mukachevo State University were ahead in terms of enrollment of students.
